Maine State Police blotter
Augusta — Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County between Nov. 18 and Nov. 25. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 800-452-4664.
Police responded to a personal injury crash on Swan Lake Avenue in Swanville. The operator of the vehicle was transported to Waldo County General Hospital. Alcohol is believed to be a contributor to the crash.
Trooper Jeremiah Wesbrock responded to an assault complaint at a residence on Town House Road in Swanville. The complainant said she was not willing to write a statement and no charges were filed.
Police charged Patrick Aylward, 27, of Searsmont with operating after suspension after Aylward’s vehicle was stopped in Swanville for an equipment violation.
Trooper Bethany Robinson received two separate calls regarding checking on the well being of a Winterport resident. While taking the complaint, the subject called and said he was all set.
Trooper James MacDonald charged Nik Cody, 38, with possession of a usable amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Trooper MacDonald charged Jeffrey Stout, 35, with operating without a license and operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration greater than 150 days.
Trooper Wesbrock charged Robert McGuire, 20, of Verona Island with possession of drug paraphernalia and a second seat-belt violation.
Trooper MacDonald charged Jayme Ream, 36, with operating after suspension and operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration greater than 150 days.
Police responded to Loggin Road in Frankfort for a report of a fight between a father and son. Upon arrival, it was determined the fight was verbal only. The parties agreed to be separated for the night.
Trooper Don Webber arrested Kenneth Fay, 56, of Pennsylvania for violation of conditions of release after stopping Fay’s vehicle on Route 3 in Palermo for speeding. Fay was also summoned for non-criminal operating after suspension.
Trooper Smith received a report of a runaway who assaulted his mother prior to fleeing in Winterport. Smith located the 16 year old and charged him with assault.
Trooper Smith located and arrested Niki Quimby, 33, of Winterport on an outstanding warrant.
Trooper Benjamin Sweeney responded to North Main Street in Winterport for a reported burglary. A cast iron stove was taken from a garage on the property. The burglary is still under investigation.
Trooper Sweeney charged Barbara Outten, 19, of Waterville with criminal mischief after a complainant said Outten threw her cell phone at his windshield, which caused it to crack.
Trooper Smith located and arrested David Philbrick, 31, of Winterport on outstanding warrants.
Police assisted the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office conduct a bail check in Waldo. Drugs and a firearm suspected of being illegally possessed were located and the suspect was arrested for the violation.
An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
