Maine State Police blotter
Augusta — Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County between Dec. 9 and Dec. 13. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 800-452-4664.
Trooper Shawn Porter responded to West View Drive in Unity for a burglary complaint. A 37-inch flat screen television and two firearms were reported stolen. The theft is still under investigation.
Trooper Corey Smith received a report of stolen fuel oil from a residence in Unity. An investigation revealed the fuel leaked from the tank and was not stolen.
Trooper Smith charged Kyle Harvey, 25, of Unity for operating after suspension. Smith stopped Harvey for a seatbelt violation and discovered Harvey’s license was suspended.
Trooper Bethany Robinson summoned Joanne Lydem, 42, of Troy for operating after suspension after stopping Lydem’s vehicle on North Mitchell Road in Troy for having an expired registration.
Trooper Porter charged Kevin Gray, 30, for burglaries that occurred at Ralph’s Café in Brooks and Roaring Acers Self Storage on Lang Hill Highway in Brooks. All of the stolen items were recovered in the Lang Hill case.
Porter summoned Casey Temple, 28, for operating a defective motor vehicle and gave Temple a verbal warning for inadequate exhaust and not having a rear bumper.
Trooper Smith arrested Michael Asay, 35, in Knox on an outstanding warrant and transported him to the Waldo County Jail.
An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
