Maine State Police blotter
Augusta — Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County between Dec. 29 and Jan. 5. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 800-452-4664.
Trooper Bethany Robinson took a report of checks written on a closed account to the General Store in Freedom.
Trooper Benjamin Sweeney summoned Wayne Grotton, 33, of Belfast for operating after suspension.
Police are investigating a report of an assault that took place in Belfast.
Trooper Evan Teel summoned Randi Davis, 42, of Northport for operating an unregistered motor vehicle greater than 150 days.
Trooper Teel summoned Brian Carrara, 23, of Waldo for attaching false plates and speeding.
Police summoned Brian Carroll 27, of Swanville for possession of Schedule W drugs after arresting him and transporting him to the Waldo County Jail.
Trooper Sweeney arrested Thomas Pezold, no age or address given on a warrant for failure to appear. Pezold’s vehicle was stopped on Route 1A in Prospect for a seatbelt violation, but further investigation revealed Pezold was excused from wearing a seatbelt and he had an active warrant for his arrest.
Trooper Sweeney charged Dale Emerson, 52, of Plymouth, Mass. for operating after suspension.
Police arrested Aaron Fairbanks, 42, of Burnham on an outstanding warrant. Fairbanks was transported to the Waldo County Jail without incident.
