Make Your Bid: A Cruise on Penobscot Bay
In a few days, you'll have your chance to bid on this: a cruise on Penobscot Bay with Captain Wayne Hamilton aboard the 36foot pilot boat Ciloway III.
This very generous offer could be yours for next summer!
Be sure to attend the annual Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County Benefit Auction this coming Saturday the 19th, featuring live music, good eats, a silent auction, and the much-anticipated live auction which features spectacular (and edible) items every year.
Recently named “Best of the Best: Community Organization” in the 2013 VillageSoup The People’s Choice contest, Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County (HVOWC) provides non-medical care-giving for patients and families at the end of life and bereavement support. All services are free of charge.
Your purchases during the silent and live auctions enable HVOWC to support anyone in the 26 towns of Waldo County who have suffered the loss of a loved one.
The silent auction – with gift certificates, memberships, baskets and unique treasures – will go from 5 to 7 p.m. Entertainment and refreshments are Clayton Clementson on piano and food by Delvino’s. The live auction begins at 7 p.m., and Rosey Gerry will run it as he does every year, with great style and panache.
