6 p.m. - Social Map Show, diverse collection of maps on display from the community; 7 p.m. - Bethany Atkins will speak on using maps as a vehicle to promote habitat conservation. Bethany is a biologist for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife; 7:30 p.m. - Main Presentation: Margot Carpenter will speak about the art and science of cartography. For nine years, Carpenter has been an independent cartographer, creating maps at Hartdale Maps in Belfast. The event is a collaboration between the Belfast Watershed Coalition and Habitat Belfast and will be held at the Belfast Free Library.
