Marsh River seeks to cast radio-style ‘Carol’
Brooks — Marsh River Theater has put out a casting call for its old-time radio show-style production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Those interested in taking part are invited to the theater, 24 Monroe Highway/Route 139, Thursday, Oct. 10, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 13, from 2 to 4 p.m.
MRT will form a 1940’s-era radio actors company to work in a period-perfect “studio” before a live audience to dramatize the beloved story of the redemption of Ebenezer Scrooge. Those intrigued more by Foley than Fezziwig may get the sound-effects job they have always dreamed of.
Those who attended Marsh River’s radio-show version of “It’s A Wonderful Life” know how much fun the format can be. Performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Dec. 6 and 7, at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 722-4110 or email email@example.com.
