Midcoast Community Children’s Chorus features children age 7 to 12.

Camden — All children age 7 through 12 are invited to sing with the Midcoast Community Children’s Chorus, also known as MC3! Registration will take place Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 3:30 p.m., followed by the first rehearsal and parents meeting from 4 to 5:15 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 33 Chestnut St. The spring semester will continue with rehearsals every Wednesday from 4 to 5:15 p.m., culminating in a May recital.

MC3! is led by Mimi Bornstein, founder and artistic director of Midcoast Community Chorus. The children’s chorus is an extension of MCC’s mission of singing as a community for the community, said MCC executive director Shelley Johnson.

“Providing a place for young people to come together in voice and song is integral to community building on so many levels,” said Bornstein. “Everyone can sing, and everyone deserves to have a place to come together in musical community. Plus we have a really good time singing some fun music!”

Registration materials are posted online at mccsings.org for early registration by mail. New singers also may register starting at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 27. Semester registration fees are $50, and annual MCC dues start at $5. Partial and full scholarships are available as well as payment plans.
