Belfast — The Mehuman Trio will perform a mix of soul, Americana and folk with influences of jazz, funk and gospel in a free Belfast Summer Nights concert Thursday, Aug. 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the waterfront Heritage Park. Also performing will be the band Kick with Vickie Andres, Max McFarland and Bruce Ibscher.

Award-winning singer/songwriter Mehuman Jonson is in the midst of a “Love Colored Glasses” Dinner Concerts Project on Kickstarter.com, hoping to fund a recording by the trio. The album "Love Colored Glasses" will be produced by the Grammy Award-winning Corin Nelsen at Scott Harris’ Graybrook Studio in Union. For more information on Jonson and to check out the campaign, visit kickstarter.com/profile/mehuman.

Concertgoers should bring lawn seating and maybe a picnic supper. For more information, call 322-7123. Next up in the annual series Thursday, Aug. 16 will be Emilia Dahlin plus The Colorados, also in Heritage Park.
