‘Memories’ make magic at Marsh River

Rachel Littlefield’s show at Marsh River Theater in Brooks is inspired by her family's camp on Pokomoonshine Lake in Washington County.

Brooks — An opening reception for "The Magic Between Memories," works by Rachel Littlefield, which runs through Oct. 21, will be held Friday, Oct. 12 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. at the Marsh River Theater, 24 Monroe Highway/Route 139.

Works include paintings and three-dimensional pieces inspired by images from Littlefield's childhood and the natural beauty of her family's camp on Pokomoonshine Lake in Washington County. Littlefield is a resident of Waldo and is the art teacher at Cornerspring Montessori School in Belfast.

The reception is free and open to the public and coincides with the theater's opening show of "Arsenic and Old Lace," which begins at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
