Micoleau at art market
Belfast — Belfast Art Market continues Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. B.A.M. runs in conjunction with the Belfast Farmer’s Market on the grounds of Waterfall Arts, 256 High St., offering refreshment for both body and soul.
Friday, Aug. 16, potter and clay sculptor Jeannette Micoleau will be among the vendors. Most of her pottery is carved and incised with artful line work and rich colors. This year, she is working on small sculptural pieces including birds, lighthouses (which also can be seen at Lupine Cottage) and treasure boxes. Her functional pottery is thrown and handbuilt in porcelain and stoneware and high fired with lead-free glazes. Much of her work is carved and incised.
Along with a variety of pottery, the market also will offer jewelry, photography and fiber arts available, both in wearable fashion and functional art.
