MICROCHIPS for horses, dogs, and cats!
Horse & Hound Veterinary Services provides microchip identification for horses, dogs, and cats. Pets need to be microchipped in case they run away or are stolen from a home. Horses are microchipped to prove ownership, permit travel, and to enter certain shows. The process is very quick and can be performed on a routine appointment or during an elective surgery. The chip is housed in a hypodermic needle and injected subcutaneously in a specific location in the animal's neck. The chip numbers are registered with the manufacturer or similar company to assure the numbers are available if an animal is found loose or the identification is in question. Dog and cat microchips - $32. Horse microchips - $35. Please call 557-5669 for more information or to schedule an appointment to have a microchip implanted.
