It's time for the Mid-Coast Audubon Society's midwinter birdseed sale fundraiser.Anyone can enjoy the company of birds by attracting them with bird feeders in their yard, and the birds enjoy the extra protein during these snowy and icy winter days. Plus, proceeds help the chapter with its nesting box program and help provide the many free educational programs Audubon hosts throughout the year.

Prices are as follows: Sunflower meaties $24 for 25 pounds, $41 for 50 pounds; Black oil sunflower seed $18 for 20 pounds, $32 for 40 pounds; Melody Mix $13 for 20 pounds, $21 for 40 pounds, Thistle $9 per 5 pounds and Suet $2 each. Place your order by Jan. 25 with "Seedsale Sue" via email sschubel@tidewater.net or by phone at 380-1370. Supporters may send checks made out to Mid-Coast Audubon to Seedsale Sue, 117 Texas Rd., South Bristol, ME 04568. Mid-Coast Audubon members live from Edgecomb to Belfast and inland to Augusta. Throughout the year the chapter offers fascinating and informative programs for free in Camden and other areas in the Midcoast.
