Milani's first leads Mustangs in KVAC meet

Mount View student-athletes solid in talent-laden event

Brunswick — Mount View student-athletes competed in a Kennebec Valley Athetic Conference indoor track meet Dec. 28 at Bowdoin College.

The Mustang efforts were led by Lorenzo Milani, who finished first in the shot put and second in the 55 meters.

The event included Class A and B teams.

The girls team scores were: Edward Little of Auburn 128, Mount Ararat of Topsham 122.50, Erskine Academy of South China 66.50, Skowhegan 52, Gardiner 20 and Mount View 12.

The boys team scores were: Edward Little 138, Mount Ararat 129, Erskine Academy 52, Skowhegan 44, Gardiner 29 and Mount View 18.

The individual Mustang results were:

Girls 4x800-meter relay — 3, Mount View, 13:05.58.

Boys 55 meters — 2, Milani, 7.09; and 37, Bryce Hubbard, 11.07.

Girls 55 meters — 11, Alexis Strain, 8.68; 26, Lilly Redvine, 9.13; and 39, Krysta Porter, 10.11.

Girls mile — 4, Kaytlyn Porter, 7:11.67.

Boys 400 meters — 8, Jake Jones, 1:02.55.

Boys 800 meters — 11, Jones, 2:42.19.

Girls 200 meters — 31, Megan Muther, 35.59.

Boys shot put — 1, Milani, 36-8.

Girls shot put — 11, Krysta Porter, 20-1.5.

Boys long jump — 8, Milani, 15-6.5; and 10, Hubbard, 3-5.

Girls long jump — 9, Strain, 11-10.

Girls triple jump — 5, Redvine, 28-10.5.
