Millay Celebration Continues Today at Whitehall Inn
This summer's celebration of the 100th anniversary of the "discovery" of Pulitzer-Prize-Winning poet, Edna St. Vincent Millay at Camden's historic Whitehall Inn in 1912 continues with very special events in August. All events are free and open to the public.
WED. AUG. 8: GUIDED WALK to local Millay sites, all within 5 blocks of the Whitehall Inn. Meet in The Millay Room of the Inn at 3 p.m. Free to the public.
WED. AUG. 8: " MY CANDLE BURNS AT BOTH ENDS” Reading and discussion on Millay’s life, loves, and poems during her Maine coast, Greenwich Village, and later years; with poets Carol Bachofner, Gayle Portnow, and Ellen Taylor.
Event starts at 7 p.m. in The Whitehall Inn Dining Room. Free to the public with refreshments
