Mirthin-ware at the art market
Belfast — Belfast Art Market usually does not meet on First Fridays, but will do so Friday, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the grounds of Waterfall Arts, 256 High St.
Artists gather at BAM from a variety of Midcoast regional towns including Blue Hill, Ellsworth, Belfast, Montville, Palermo and points south as well, to showcase their work. This week’s market will host Bill Davis of Mirthin-ware Pottery. His whimsical pottery is sculpted and illustrated with whimsical characters, inspired no doubt by his 40-plus years as a designer, director, animator and illustrator of educational films and videos.
In addition to a handful of potters, this week’s market will showcase jewelry, photography, fabric arts in many forms, essential oil products and collectibles. For more information, visit belfastartmarket.weebly.com.
