Frankfort — Police charged a Monroe man with driving drunk after he crashed his truck twice in the same day in Frankfort.

On May 11, Trooper Corey Smith charged William Ripley, 21, with operating under the influence and failure to report a motor vehicle crash in connection with an investigation into two crashes in Frankfort that occurred April 12.

According to police, Ripley drove off the road during the early morning hours of April 12 and his truck was significantly damaged. However, Ripley did not report the crash and was able to get his truck back onto the road with help from a private party, police said.

Ripley then continued driving towards home when he again lost control of his truck and rolled the vehicle over. He suffered minor injuries as a result of the rollover crash and was taken to an unspecified hospital for evaluation.

An investigation determined Ripley was drinking prior to both of the crashes and a blood test revealed he was over the legal limit of .08 percent to drive a vehicle.

Was this accident by sandborn pond.  Mother's day the road was closed for awhile and I couldn't get home? They said there was a bad accident but I never heard anything reported on the news.
