On a Personal Note
I would like to send out apologies to those of you that have sent me emails over the past two weeks. I have had far too much on my plate.However, here is a list as best as I can tell. If I have left anything out again, I apologize.
Food for All
Food for All group, a community-based organization, has put together their first luncheon, , Thursday, in the basement of the Monroe Church.They will open at for coffee and tea, and will begin serving lunch, soup and a sandwich, at .There may be surplus food or groceries to take home. There is no cost, but free-will donations will be accepted to be put towards future meals. Rides are available if arranged ahead by calling 525-4428. If there are any questions, folks can call, Nancy Fenney , (525-4443) or Karen Marysdaughter (525-4538).
Monroe Community Church
The Monroe Community Church will hold their Annual Harvest Supper on September 28, 2013. Admission is $8.00 and their are no reservations required. Things will start at 4:30 with Annual Harvest Auction. If you have any additional questions you can call Bernys at 525-4431.
They are moving along on the renovations. New shelves are in place and lots of old stuff has been cleared away. There are still some bargains on the sale shelf. They are working on the new 2014 calendar....beautiful local artist work is featured this time. More updates and news will be available at their website at monroemainelibrarywordpress.com and they welcome anyone to email them with specific questions at email@example.com. The new library will be an exciting place for all. If you are interested in volunteering they could use some more "geeks" to assist with computer stuff.
There will be an Electronics Waste Day on October 12, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. Items such as t.v.'s , monitors, computer's ,desktop printers, laptops, batteries, mercury thermostats, C.F.L.S. bulbs and florescent bulbs will be accepted .
