Benefit for Butch Frost
There will be a Bone Marrow Drive at the Leroy H Smith School 319 So. Main St. in Winterport, Nov. 1 from 3-7 p.m..And a Benefit for Butch Frost of Monroe, sponsored by Nicole Tucker, Tracy Toleman and Shannon Frost. Come and get swabbed and save a life. You must be between 18 and 55 and in good health. Heroes wanted to help defeat blood cancer. All swabs will be entered into the National Bone Marrow Donor registry.
Local Creamery named
Our very own Stone Fox Creamery was named one of the best ice creams in Maine in a recent write up in Downeast Magazine. They highlighted their pumpkin ginger flavor. Way to go Kathy .
The Store the never was
As I had mentioned earlier this summer Monroe was looking forward to the reopening of a store in "downtown"Monroe. It appears that Monroe Mercantile will not becoming to fruition. The building is back on the market.
On a personal note
Don't forget there will be voting on November 5, 2013. There are a couple of referendums and the ballots are posted on the Town hall door.
