Monroe Town News
If anyone has tried to call me in the last week you will not have been able to reach me at the old number. I have recently changed my phone to be through my internet service so it is a strange exchange and will come over an ID as Rockland but it is mine and the great thing is it is free....so any who.
Monroe Extension will not meet on the 18th of February. The next meeting will be the 18th of March. The program will be a speaker from the Waldo County Sheriff's Department.
Lauren and Megan Tribuzio daughters of Rachel and Mario Tribuzio of Monroe were on the honor roll for the first quarter at John Bapst. Memorial High School in Bangor. Lauren is a senior while Megan is a freshman.
On the same note my daughter Sylvia has been on the Honor Roll at the Mt.View Middle School the first two quarters of this year as she has been every quarter since she moved into the Middle School 2 years ago. She is also taking High School English this year as an advanced class and has received an A in that class as well.
Adam Aitken was recently admitted into the National Honor Society. This after maintaining an impressive G.P.A. throughout his High School career. He plans on attending college to earn a degree to be a nurse practitioner.
Congratulations to all the students for their accomplishments.
All residents that own dogs are obliged to licence their dogs ...they need to bring proof of current rabies vaccine and proof of spay or neuter . If your dog has been fixed then it is a $6.00 fee if not it is $11.00. If this is not done by February 28th then their is a $25.00 late fee. If your dog has passed away if would be thoughtful if you contacted the town office at 525-3515 so they might update their records.
