Anyone wanting more information about any of the activities and services planned can contact Bernys at 525-4431.
Public supper
The menu and details are available for the next community public supper. Contact Joyce (reservations only, please) at 525-9908 or goats.and.notes@gmail.com.
Appetizer: caramelized onion and shallots in sour cream dip with gourmet potato chips. Salad: salad greens with strawberries, orange sections with a poppy seed dressing. Entrée: pork shoulder braised in cider and ginger beer, twice-baked potatoes, parsnips, carrots and peas in a honey mustard glaze and homemade dinner rolls. Dessert: hot fudge cake with Bruce and Kathy Chamberlain’s vanilla ice cream from their Stone Fox Farm Creamery kitchen!
On a personal note
It is hard to believe it is spring when we look out the windows and once again there is a snow pile in the yard. Despite the snow on the ground, the sun is still warm and it is nice to see it hanging around longer in the evening. No worries -- warmer weather and greener surroundings are just around the corner.
One last reminder
Please remember the basket bingo being held on Sunday, April 7, at the Odd Fellows Hall here in town. This will help raise monies to send kids to Camp NEOFA in Montville. Doors open at 11 a.m., with lunch available. Bingo starts at 1 p.m. Come out for a fun afternoon and help some local youth at the same time!
