Montville field day
|Aug 10, 2013|
The Town of Montville and the Montville Volunteer Fire Department invites you to its 37th annual field day Saturday, Aug. 10. Community volunteers work hard to bring this fun summer event to the town of Montville.
Our events start with the 9 a.m. two-mile road race. You may register for this race prior to the event. It starts at the intersection of Route 220 and the Center Road.
The parade starts at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to bring their livestock, wagons, bikes, tractors and antique or well loved vehicles to join in the line-up. Line-up is on the Center Road at the intersection of North Ridge and Morrill Roads.
Following the parade will be the famous chicken barbeque with all the donated pot luck side dishes that are brought by community members. We are very grateful to everyone who brings a dish to share. To donate to the pot luck contact Karen York at email@example.com or 382-3077.
The afternoon activities include kids’ games, wagon rides, tug of war, and music.
