Montville Town Office News
A reminder that the town office will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 24 & 25. A reminder about winter weather: the town office is closed when the schools are canceled. Also, 2014 dog licenses, boat and snowmobile registrations, and hunting and fishing licenses are all available at the town clerk's office. Stop on by!

Boy Scout Troop 77 will be holding a gift wrapping and bake sale, Saturday December 21 from 9am to 1pm at the Liberty Fire Department. Bring your gifts to be wrapped, they will have tags available and sweet treats as well! Donations will be accepted for gift wrapping.

Liberty Library News
Food Pantry donations are now being collected for December. Bring your food donations to the Liberty Post Office or the Library. Cans for money donations are at various locations around town. Please be generous to our neighbors in need.

The library is still collecting mittens for kids. Please help fill the basket at the library with hand-knit mittens. Sizes for younger children are most needed. They will be given to Walker School and Waldo Community Action Partners for distribution. Thank you for all that have donated!

Take it Outside 5th Annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby. Learn how to ice fish! Will be held at Lake St. George State Park on Saturday, January 18th, 2014 from 8am to 3pm. Equipment and bait provided. Warming hut, hot cocoa and BBQ lunch included. Prizes for all children registered to fish. Persons 12 years and older cost is $1.50 each. Under 12 and over 65 there is no charge. There will also be dog sled rides from 10am to 3pm. Cost is $3.00 per person. For more information call  589-4255 or go online at (click on Parks Events Calendar).
