Montville Town News
Stop the presses! According to their Facebook page, John's Ice Cream has opened for the season! I felt a sense of sadness and withdrawal last fall when we drove over to John's and it was closed. We had missed their "end of season" specials and were just plain out of luck for the winter. For those of you not familiar with John's, it's on Rt. 3 in Liberty Village. Their ice cream is awesome. My favorite is Peanut Butter Crunch. Enough said.
Talking about local "awesomeness", Liberty Tool will have it's Grand Re-Opening on March 1st. Get there early before all the cool stuff is gone! Also, ReVision Energy (91 West Main Street), will have an open house on the same day (Saturday, March 1st) from 9 AM to noon time. You'll have a chance to meet their crew and tour the shop. For more information check out: www.revisionenergy.com/blog/event/revision-energys-liberty-shops-open-house/

Walker Elementary News
Hope everyone had a great Winter Break from school. The weather has been perfect for building snow-people, snowball fights and ice shanties! It will soon be getting down to the homestretch. Hang in there!
There will be a family movie night on February 28th at the Walker School from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. The movie will be “Gnomeo & Juliet” rated G and playing for 85 minutes. The PTC will supply popcorn and drinks to those that attend. They ask that, as your admission fee, to please bring one non-perishable food item per person that will be donated to the local food pantry. Also, feel free to wear your pajamas, bring a blanket or beanbag chair. Sounds fun!
That's it for this week. If you have news you would like me to include, or just let me know you read the column, send me an email or give me a call. My deadline for next week's edition is Friday at 10:00.
Until next time.
