Town cleanup day
The town has set their annual spring cleanup for Saturday, May 3rd from 9-1. The cleanup will be at the town office. Price lists and the items that can and can’t be brought to the cleanup day are also available at the town office. You’ll also find a posted price list on the bulletin boards around town—at Morrill General, the Community Center, and the Town Office.
The Morrill Farm team has begun practices; however, it is not too late to sign up your child. If you would like your child between the ages of 7-10 to participate, please Call Bud Allen at 342-5420.
The boys and I had a pretty laid back spring break spent mostly at home. On Wednesday, though, we made a trip to Belfast to have a picnic lunch, try out the new metal detector on the beach, and then to walk the new Harbor path and over the footbridge. Not long into our walk, we began to quickly identify the locals from “those from away.” Based on the brief pleasantries that we heard and spoke to those we passed, everyone seemed to be in agreement that it was a beautiful day, however, those “from away” appeared to find the temperatures still on the chilly side as they were all dressed in sweaters or heavy coats while the “locals” were happily strolling along in t-shirts.
