Planning Board Survey
The planning board is in the process of redoing our town’s comprehensive plan (something that must be updated in order for our town to qualify for grant monies). The survey will give them important information that will guide them as they develop this plan. Surveys are available at the town office and can be returned back to at the town office or the Morrill General Store. You can also complete the surveys online at http://kwiksurveys.com/s.asp?sid=ubtgdmiyf0x7f2w187336. Surveys will also be included with the tax bills, but taxes have yet to be committed because of the undecided RSU #20 budget. As a result, the due date that you will see on the survey has been changed to October 30, 2013.
I want to express my condolences to Dave Robotham with the recent passing of his wife, Patricia. Tish and Dave have lived here in Morrill, across the street from me, for a number of years. If the boys and I were outside, she would always stop by our house on her way to the post office and chat. She and I both loved to coupon shop, so we would pass our coupon flyers back and forth between ourselves and our other neighbor, Sue. As a result of all that couponing, Tish had the most hilariously abundant stockpile in her basement. One day, as she was giving me a tour of her couponing “riches” I had a small moment of envy as I beheld her abundance of mayonnaise! Trish was a very kind and generous person always ready to give a hand and quick with a laugh. She was involved in many charities and organizations as well and gave generously of her time. She will be missed.
Belated Thank You
I have been meaning to thank Anna Wood-Cox, ever since our last election a month ago, for bringing in a delicious raspberry banana bread for all the ladies working at the election to eat. It was so tasty! I was fortunate enough to get to take the leftovers with me to camp the next day and my boys, who are very picky eaters, inhaled it! I'd like to say that I need to get the recipe from you, but the reality is that I would never make it. Thank you for bringing it in, though. We all enjoyed it greatly!
