I cannot believe that we have lost yet another one of our beloved town residents. Merl (Curly) Weymouth passed away unexpectantly on September 9. My heart goes out to his wife Deanie. Curly was such a sweet man and so loved by all who knew him. He could often be found at the Morrill General Store in the early morning, laughing and joking with the “coffee crew” that frequents the store in the mornings. His presence there, and throughout town, will be so greatly missed.
My family and I had the privilege of celebrating Natalie Farrar’s 86th birthday on September 7. Natalie (better known as Great Grammy Farrar to my sons) was the wife of George Farrar and they lived in Morrill for a number of years, trucking milk from the local farms to the dairy. The family gathering and birthday celebration was held at the Tri-Town Snowmobile Club and there were just under 60 people in attendance. It was nice to see so many family members gathered in one place to celebrate with Grammy.
Planning Board Survey
Apparently the email address that is provided on the Planning Board Survey is incorrect; however, you can still pick up a survey at the Morrill Town Office and there should be one arriving very soon in your yearly tax bills. Please note, though, that the return date has changed and you have until October 30th to return them to the town office.
