Clerk's hours

Mondays 5-8 p.m., Tuesdays noon-8 p.m., Saturdays 8 a.m.-noon. The clerk completes vehicle, boat, ATV, and snowmobile registrations, issues hunting/fishing licenses, and issues marriage, birth and death certificates. I can also collect tax monies if there are no liens on the property. Remember, even when the clerk is not available there is usually someone at the Town Office who can provide you with information or help that is not clerk-related.

Christmas eve service

Tthere will be a live Nativity and Christmas eve candlelight service at the Morrill Baptist Church on Monday, Dec. 24. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the service will begin at 4.

The home has arrived

Well, after a number of false starts and unexpected delays, Roger and Brenda’s house finally arrived. The work crews and Roger have been burning the midnight oil getting everything finished up and, if all goes well, they should be in their home by the time this column is published. They are looking forward to moving in and getting settled before Christmas.

Open house and baby dedication

Glenn and Denise Loper and numerous other family members (Ed and Jean Whitcomb, Gary and Faye Sheldon, Greg, Michelle and Chantelle Whitcomb, Dylan Hahn, Marcia O’Jala, and Wendi Luther) headed down to Boston for an open house for Glenn and Denise’s son and daughter-in-law, Kris and Kristin Loper, who have just moved into a new home in Medway, Mass., with their two little boys, Jack and Owen. The weekend also included a baby dedication for Kris and Kristin’s youngest son, Owen, at the Park Street Church in Boston. Besides Kris, Kristin and Owen, their oldest son, Jack, also stood up on the stage with his parents during the dedication. On the ride home after the dedication, Jack realized that he had missed the perfect opportunity while on the stage to perform a song for everyone. Reflecting with disappointment upon this, he concluded that he could do it someday, though, when he was “a big dude," like his dad.
