Congratulations to Darcie Simmons on her recent graduation from the University of Maine at Farmington. She has earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary education. We wish her well as she begins her search for a job.
I hope everyone survived the holidays. I think we’re fairly well recovered now. My boys can get a little overwhelmed this time of year, between all the Christmases we have and the fact that one has his birthday two weeks before Christmas and the other has his birthday two weeks after Christmas.
There have been at least two more break-ins here in the town of Morrill since the last time I wrote about this topic. Rodene Littlefield had her home broken into just a short time ago. Based on what she told my husband, it sounds like these people are probably “casing” different homes, getting to know your routines. Please be very aware of things that seem out of the ordinary and report them to the Sheriff’s Department.
Words do not seem adequate to express my deep sympathy to the Holmes family on the recent passing of Ruth Holmes. She was a wonderful and amazing woman. She touched the lives of so many people and she will be so greatly missed.
