Moss joins Velocipede in Belfast

Jul 07, 2014

Belfast — Cambridge, Mass.-based songwriter and string player Sam Moss is headed to Waterfall Arts, 256 High St., to share a Friday, July 11, concert with Velocipede beginning 7:30 p.m. The evening will offer the opportunity to hear a wide array of sounds from the world of folk music, performed in an intimate setting.

Moss' eight solo albums explore the vast field of Americana, from original and interpreted folk songs to pastoral and occasionally jagged instrumental guitar. His work has been featured on No Depression, Pitchfork, The FADER and WFMU, among others.

Hailing from the great state of Maine, Velocipede, comprised of Julia Plumb (fiddle, foot percussion) and Baron Collins-Hill (tenor guitar, mandolin), plays fiddle tunes from around the world for contra dances, concert halls, coffee houses and doughnut factories throughout the country.

Doors will open 7 p.m. Suggested donation is $10.
