Mount View Middle School prepares to welcome new principal
Thorndike — Mount View Middle School's new principal will assume his duties beginning July 1, 2014.
Prior to being named principal of Mount View Middle School, Quinton S. Donahue taught mathematics and served as the department head at Hampden Academy. He also served as the chair of the school's faculty council for many years. Donahue was a new teacher mentor, technology scout and the math team coach during his tenure at Hampden Academy.
Recently he served as a high school representative for the state of Maine in validity testing work on the Smarter Balanced Assessment.
Donahue holds a Masters of Education degree in educational leadership and a Bachelor of Science in secondary mathematics education from the University of Maine. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in educational leadership at the University of Maine, where his research is focusing on issues such as school culture and differentiated instructional strategies.
His vision for education is that all students will achieve personal excellence within a collaborative environment that promotes rigor and lifelong learning.
Donahue is a lifelong Maine resident and is married to his wife Jessica.
