CAMDEN, Maine –During a posh luncheon last Saturday Natalie’s at Camden Harbour Inn was honored as one of OpenTable Diner’s Choice Top 100 Best Restaurants in America based on 5 million of reviews of 19,000 restaurants nationwide.
While VIP's and press enjoyed a superb 3-course lunch prepared by Executive Chefs Chris Long and Shelby Stevens, with perfect wine pairings by Sommelier Micah Wells, Tianna Baker from Opentable presented the owners the prestigious award.
It is the first time a restaurant in Maine makes Opentable's Top 100 Best Restaurants in America list.
The list features restaurants from thirty out of the fifty states and Washington D.C.; California and New York saw the largest number of winning restaurants (14 in CA, 13 in NY). Natalie’s is the only restaurant included in the Top 100 in the state of Maine.
Natalie’s is headed by Executive Chefs Chris Long and Shelby Stevens, whose menu is inspired by coastal New England and seasonal ingredients. In October, Long was awarded the 2013 Maine Lobster Chef of the Year and his winning dish is currently offered at Natalie’s: butter poached Maine lobster with grilled local mushrooms, corn, parsnip ragout and thyme butter. Bar Manager Seth Knowlton was recently chosen as Eater Maine’s Bartender of the Year and is responsible for crafting unique cocktails that pair flawlessly with the dishes created by Natalie’s culinary team. Executive Chef Shelby Stevens was awarded by DownEast Magazine for her unique Maine inspired cocktail with food pairing at the signature event.

The Diner’s Choice Top 100 Best Restaurants in America are generated from more than 5 million restaurant reviews collected from verified OpenTable diners between November 14, 2012, and November 15, 2013. Other recipients of the honor this year include The French Laundry in California, Le Bernardin and Eleven Madison Park in New York and the Girl and the Goat in Chicago. All restaurants with a minimum number of qualifying reviews were included for consideration and were then sorted according to a score calculated from each restaurant's average rating in the "overall" category.
