The Navigators is one of Newfoundland's most energetic and entertaining groups, made up of several of the island's well-known musicians. Members include Fred Jorgensen on tin whistles, bodhran and vocals; Arthur O'Brien on electric/acoustic guitars and vocals; Ian Chipman on bass and vocals; and Paul Murphy on drums.

With original songs, a cappella and instrumental numbers, ballads and chanteys, the band has created its own sound that is suitable for a variety of settings. The Navigators are known for both giving and having a good time.
