New England Auto Auction Preview in Full Swing
All of the nearly 180 antique, classic and special interest vehicles that will be offered for sale at the 35th annual New England Auto Auction are now available to preview at the Owls Head Transportation Museum. The full line up is also viewable online on the museum's website at owlshead.org.
Highlighting this year's auction are elegant luxury vehicles such as a 1931 Cadillac V12 Convertible Coupe, a 1930 LaSalle 340 Fleetwood Phaeton and a 1947 Chrysler Town & Country Convertible to name a few. A large assortment of Ford Model As including several popular woodie wagons are in the sale. Classics from the 50s and 60s include a 1957 Chevrolet 210 sedan and 1965 Ford Thunderbird convertible. Sports cars are well represented including Austin Healey, MG and Triumph. Late model automobiles include a 2005 Volkswagen Beetle and a 2001 BMW Z-3.There's something for everyone.
The 35th New England Auto Auction will be held this Saturday, August 25 at 9:30 am. The preview runs now through Friday. Hours are 9:30 am to 5 pm. Doors open on Saturday at 7 am. Spectators are welcome. Absentee bids are accepted. For more info call the museum at 207-594-4418 or visit owlshead.org.
