Winterport — Winterport Open Stage is proud to welcome its original cast of “Nunsense” — Heather Astbury-Libby, Brianne Beck, Elena DeSiervo Burns, Kari Stowe and Tina Burns — back to the stage for “Nunsense II: The Second Coming.”

The rollicking musical will have eight performances at the Samuel L. Wagner Middle School on Mountainview Drive: Fridays at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays at 3 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays at 3 p.m., April 25 through May 4.

This time, we find the Little Sisters of Hoboken six weeks after their last performance, presenting a "thank-you" show for all the people who supported them. Now, however, they're a bit slicker, having been bitten by the theater bug. Things get off to a rousing start, but before long, chaos erupts.

Sister Mary Amnesia (who has won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes) may have been kidnapped. At the same time, the nuns hear that a talent scout is in the audience to see them strut their stuff. Featuring star turns, roller-skating, audience bingo and silly ventriloquism, this hilarious sequel is guaranteed fun for all ages. The show is directed by Dominick Varney with musical direction by Phil Burns.

General admission tickets, available only at the door, are $10, $8 for students and senior citizens. For more information, check out the troupe’s Facebook page.
