Thorndike — The driver of an oil truck suffered non life-threatening injuries after the vehicle rolled over in Thorndike the morning of Monday, Jan. 6.

Chief Deputy Jeff Trafton of the Waldo County Sheriff's Office said the department was notified of the accident at 9:09 a.m. after a Thompson's Oil Co. truck rolled over on Unity Road. Trafton said there were few details regarding the accident at this time, but the driver was complaining of shoulder pain at the scene.

The truck was loaded with No. 2 heating oil, Trafton said. He did not know if any of the oil in the truck spilled onto the ground. Trafton said arrangements were being made to have a tow truck haul the vehicle away.

Deputy James Porter responded to the accident, Trafton said.

As of 4 p.m. Monday, no further details were available, Trafton said.
