OUR GUEST PASTOR-this Sunday

By St. Thomas Episcopal Church | May 24, 2012

The Rev. Johanna-Karen Johannson was born in Augusta and grew up near Portland.  She attended Oberlin Conservatory and, in 1974, moved to New York City to work in the theatre.  She graduated cum laude from The General Theological Seminary in 1987, having won the Bishop of Newark Preaching Prize her senior year.  Ordained priest in 1988, Johanna worked as curate and then priest-in-charge at Church of the Epiphany on Manhattan's east side.  In November of 1990, Mother Johanna began what became a nineteen and a half-year pastorate at Holy Trinity Church, Inwood, in northern Manhattan.  She retired from active parish ministry and joyously moved home to Maine in June of 2011.  Please join us on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.  All are welcomed.
