June 23-July 1 and Aug. 26- Sept. 2 International permaculture teachers and designers Charles & Julia Yelton will lead a unique split-week PDC at Newforest Institute in Brooks. This in-depth, comprehensive course takes place over two weeks, allowing students to experience permaculture in practice over a whole season. Topics include Design for True Resilience in Maine, Edible Landscapes & Food Forests, Energy Efficiency & Green Building and Food Preservation and Storage. Tuition includes course sessions, home-cooked meals, accommodation, and certification. Tuition: $1350; $250 deposit required.
