Searsport — Searsport police are investigating a burglary in which two older model snowmobiles and an all terrain vehicle were among the items reported missing from a camp located on Black Road North.

Searsport Police Chief Dick LaHaye said the owner reported the theft Monday, Nov. 26, but that he had been away from the camp for some time and was unsure of exactly when the items may have been removed from his property. LaHaye said the missing items, which also included a pair of older snowmobile engines and batteries for solar panels, were being stored outside.

LaHaye said the snowmobiles were described as older model Arctic Cat brand sleds, and the four-wheeler is an early model Suzuki.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Searsport Police Department at 548-2304.
