|Oct 28, 2013|
Kevin Johnson will be the guest speaker at the Belfast Historical Society program meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at the Belfast Free Library, in the Abbott Room. “Highlights from the Penobscot Marine Museum Photograph Collection" will be a visual tour of the museum’s vast maritime related photographic archives. Included will be the Everett “Red” Boutillier Collection, the Carroll Thayer Berry Collection, the Joanna Colcord and Ruth Montgomery Collections, and the Atlantic Fisherman and Maine Sardine Council collections. Many of these collections depict life at sea, Maine harbors and boatyards. Johnson is the photo-archivist and has been instrumental in the cataloging, preservation and printing of these collections.
