Project Puffin, history and success

The National Audubon Society started Project Puffin in 1973 in an effort to restore puffins to historic nesting islands in the Gulf of Maine. Susan "Seabird Sue" Schubel, outreach educator for Project Puffin, biologist and artist, will describe the activities and techniques used in the restoration projects. The talk is part of Belfast Garden Club’s 2014 Evening Programs Series: Wildlife Conservation in Maine at the Belfast Free Library, and is co-sponsored by the Belfast Garden Club and the Belfast Free Library. The talk will be presented in the Abbott Room of the Belfast Free Library: 106 High St, Belfast, ME. The program is free and open to the public.
