Finally we are having Summer weather-lets just hope that it stays around for a long time. The Community Club is ready to serve you at their Bean and Casserole Supper Saturday night, July 12th. 4-6 PM. $7.00 for Adults and $2.00 for children under 12.

Congratulations to Earl Anderson, Jr. and family of Frankfort on their new store in Frankfort. They purchased the former Family Market and have renovated it, hoping to get gas soon. So many people here in town would get their gas there as it was the cheapest around. Wish them luck in their new endeavor.

Prospect Community Club President Linda Gamble is organizing a Parade for Prospects 220th. Birthday/History Day, Oct. 4th. She is looking for floats that represent the different types of Industry that provided livelihood for the people. Have an idea? Call her at 567-3615 and leave a call back number if she is not there. Linda has so many volunteer jobs that she is busy most of the time. Want to get something done? Go to the busiest person you know and it will be done.

The Community Club wish to Thank David Terry for a job well done in the basement of Maddie’s Place. With the weight of the walk-in plus the cases of stock, the floor had dropped about 1”, so David jacked it up, installed cement bases and jack poles, to bring it back up. All he did was charge for the materials but he donated his labor. A big Thank You.

The Prospect Historical Society will meet July 14th. at the dining room at 7:00 PM. This group is in charge of the 220th. Birthday/History Day Oct. 4th. and have many plans for the day and Gloria Boynton is the Chairman of the Fireworks Committee, collecting donations for the fireworks. It will be a very busy day and the need for volunteers is great, so if you can, attend the meeting and find out how you can help.

The Bucksport Bay Festival will be July 25th. and 26th. with a Parade, venders, music and fireworks Saturday night. This always brings people back home and you see friends and neighbors that you haven’t seen since last years Festival. A good time had by all.

I want to wish you all a safe and healthy week and please remember those that need a card or a prayer. God Bless you all.
