Gertrude Smith was hosted at an 80th birthday party Jan 12 by her family at the Prospect Community Dining Room. There were more than 50 people in attendance, and she was aglow with excitement. Certainly didn’t look 80, but she has been sick with the flu and everything else, so I am sure she feels her age now.

Allen Patterson is on his way home with the help of hospice. He and his wife, Wyonia, live in Bucksport now, but Allen grew up in this town with his brother, Dwight Moody. May he be graced with the comfort of God, and his wife and family also need comfort.

Tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 18) the coffee group will be assembling the tossed salads for the benefit supper Saturday night. Always is fun when we do it together and it gets done quickly.

Sorry, not much news this week, but will have more next week.

I want to wish you all a safe and healthy week. God bless you all.
