Wednesday, August 28, starting at 5 p.m., a Lobster Fish Chowder Supper will be held in the Searsport Congregational Church Curtis Hall Vestry. Come enjoy delicious fish chowder with homemade biscuits, pie and beverage. $8.00 Adults & $4.00 under 12.
Sunday, September 1, from 4 to 6 p.m., the Searsport Recreation Department will present Music in the Park featuring the Mike & Susie Fay Band. This event will be held in Mosman Park but if it rains, it will be moved to Union Hall.
Wednesday, September 4th., starting at 6:30 p.m., the first meeting of the Ordinance Review Committee will take place in Union Hall.
The Searsport Ambulance will be holding a twice a month Blood Pressure Clinic in the Bangor Savings Bank Conference Room. The clinic will take place on the first and third Tuesday of each month between 10 and 11 a.m. and is free. No appointment is necessary, just walk in. After 6 months, the clinic will be revaluated to see if there is enough interest in continuing it. For September, the dates will be the 3rd & 17th.
Glenn Blair from USDA will be taking appointments regarding the 502 direct loan and 504 Repair and Rehabilitation Grant Program in Searsport on Tuesday, September 10th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This invitation is for all Searsport and Stockton Springs residents and all ages. Glenn will sit down and explain the programs and help with the application. If you are 62 and older you may qualify for a 504 repair grant. They will help with wells/septic systems etc. Last year they helped a Searsport resident with her well who was over 62. And another person with siding on her home.

Tuesday, September 10, starting at 7 p.m., the next RSU 20 budget validation meeting will take place at the Troy Howard Middle School followed by the budget referendum vote in each town on the following Tuesday, September 17.
