Tuesday, September 17, starting at 7 p.m., the regular meeting of the Selectmen will take place in the Town Hall. This meeting will be televised.
Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the Searsport Ambulance will be holding their blood pressure clinic in the Bangor Savings Bank. No appointment needed.
Tuesday, September 17, the Dan Rich Public Safety building will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. for voting on the latest RSU20 budget. Thursday night, I met with our three Searsport members of the RSU20 Board of Directors for a question and answer session about the budget. That meeting is being shown on Channel 7 on Monday at 1 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and again on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. I will send out the results of the Searsport vote after they are counted Tuesday night.
Thursday, September 19, starting at 6:30 a.m., the Historic Preservation Committee will hold their meeting in Union Hall. This meeting will be televised.
Saturday, September 21, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the Belfast Bay Area Lions will hold a public German Supper at the Lions Club on Prospect Street. Adults $10, children 12 years and under $6.
Saturday, September 21, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the North Searsport United Methodist Church will hold a public baked bean supper at the church located at the intersection of Mt. Ephrain and the Loop Road, 7 miles north of Route #1. Supper consists of baked beans, brown bread, hot dogs, cole slaw, chop suey, rolls and homemade pies. The price is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12 years old.
