Saturday, August 9, from 1 to 4 p.m., Peter Dalton and Glen Webb from the Civil War Round Table Group will be doing a presentation called "A Tale of Two Swords," at the Coleman house on the Sears Island Road. The Swords belonged to two Searsport Soldiers, one from the 4th Maine and the other from 22nd Maine Calvary. Perhaps the owners names have been discovered. All are welcome.
Several years ago, the ambulance started a used equipment program where people who needed medical equipment could borrow it if the ambulance had it available. The program has been a great success but right now they are in dire need of wheelchairs, wheeled walkers, shower chairs and commodes in good condition. Currently they have lent out all that they have. If you have one of these items and would like to donate it to the ambulance or would like more information, contact Cory or Logan at 548-2302.
Feel free to pass this on to interested people.
