Belfast — Engines roared to life as motorcyclists gathered at the Waldo County Shrine Club Saturday, Sept. 15, for the Ride for Oncology to benefit cancer patients.

Dozens gathered to ride during the second year of the event, which was started by Gary Collins as a fundraiser for Waldo County General Hospital. The hospital partnered with Collins for this year's ride and estimated more than $2,000 was raised.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Waldo County General Hospital Oncology Patient Assistance Fund.
