River Arts calls for ‘Autumn’
Damariscotta — River Arts invites all Maine artists to enter its juried “Autumn” exhibition. Work in any media is encouraged including photography and sculpture, encompassing whatever changes the new season brings to landscapes, gardens, human activity and mood.
Artists may submit up to three works for an entry fee of $20, $15 for members. Work can be dropped off Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27 and 28. Earlier submissions are accepted within usual gallery hours. The opening reception for the exhibition is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The juror for this show is artist and gallery owner R. Keith Rendall of Wiscasset. Rendall is a professional printmaker and artist with more than 30 years of experience. He is co-founder and president of Midcoast Printmakers Inc., a nonprofit, and is an expert on the history of etching and woodcut printmaking in the Renaissance.
