Rockland Kiwanis Club Meeting Minutes for December 9, 2013
President Katie Tarbox called the meeting to order and led in the Pledge of Allegiance. Bill Batty, Jr. offered the invocation. Speaker Melinda Whelan was our only guest.
Don't forget the holiday gathering this Saturday at President Tarbox's. Please bring a dish to share and an unwrapped gift suitable for a teenager. We will have a night meeting on 12/30. Location and price are the same as our day meeting. If you'd like to come early, the bar will be open for cocktails at 5:30pm, and the meeting will start at 6pm. Salvation Army Bell Ringing: 12/21 is the date, Shaw’s Rockland is the place. There were slots open from 1-3pm and 5-7pm.
Christmas Trees: The sheet went around. We had a very good weekend, with just shy of $4k in sales. Feedback on the quality of the trees has been very good. The second shipment has been received, and just a few more trees will need to be picked up. If you sign up for a shift and find you can't cover it, please try and replace yourself before contacting Dan Saucier.
Meals on Wheels: Amy Pease and Brad Galley will deliver tomorrow, and the rest of the month is all booked. Jingle Bell Express (JBE): There were 1063 paying passengers. A better financial report will follow. A big thank you was expressed to Katie Tarbox and Marjorie Kinney.
