The Waldo County Extension Association presents Rural Living Day 2013. This event is full of home and garden classes sure to interest a wide range of participants. This annual educational event is a fundraiser for a scholarship fund that the Extension Association administers and offers to Waldo County students who are pursuing higher education. This year, the class offerings are even more exiting and varied than ever before. From composting, soils and seed saving to building rustic furniture and healing arts, there is something to interest everyone. Over 24 classes are being offered by a host of experts who have graciously volunteered their time. Cost: $20, includes lunch. Pre-registration required. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and classes begin promptly at 9. For a listing of class offerings and registration materials, please contact the Extension Office in Waldo County. Registration materials are also available online. To request a disability accommodation, call at least 14 days in advance of the first class.
