Two campers receive the EAGLE AWARD at Camp Forest this year. They join a very special group. Only four campers have completed the EAGLE Award.

Sage Horton received both the Maine Woodsman award and the Camp Forest EAGLE Award.  Sam Davis received the Eagle Award.

The Maine Woodsman is a program of the State of Maine.  The Maine Woodsman tests 15 different outdoor skills, such as hiking, leave no trace, and Maine issues. It is a requirement before working toward the Junior Maine Guide.

The EAGLE AWARD at Camp Forest represents advanced skill in twelve different wilderness and social skills, such as coal burning, bow drill fire, and respect for all life. For most campers it takes several years to complete.

Congratulations SAGE and SAM!
